If you like someone else’s content and you think that the visitors to your personal nickpage (youmint.com/username) will yearn to have that piece on their phones, then there is good news for you. You can select that piece fo content and add it to your shop and everytime someone buys it from there, you make money!! Pretty cool eh!

NOTE: The shopfront and the YouMint marketplace basically runs on user generated content – so we are relying on you - the users to make sure that the content is fresh, lively, appealing and sale worthy! At the same time we need to make sure that content is not copied/pliagiaraised . That amounts to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) violation and as any fancy lawyer in town will tell you, is illegal. So we decided to moderate the content flowing in – what this means is that every piece of content flowing in will be checked by a moderator for copyright violation/vulgarity before its uploaded.

Q) How can you offer Free SMS when the rest of the world charges for it?
A) YouMint can offer you Free SMS because we get our advertisers to sponsor them for you. You can send SMS upto 80 characters long. The remainder is used by our advertisers to append their messages. The interesting thing is that the Ads that will get appended will be contextual in most cases It could be quite cool! For example, if you sent a message to a friend asking them to meet for a coffee, you could actually see a Cafe Coffee Day advt displayed at the bottom - offering you a cool discount!

Q) How can I make money on YouMint?
A) It is very simple. There are several ways you can make money on Youmint.

1) Introduce your friends and get paid when they join and when their friends join!

When you sign up at YouMint, you basically get an opportunity to introduce all your friends to this cool service, and get paid for it when they do sign up! A) Rome was not built in a day… and given that this is a new concept and a paradigm shift, it will take us time to get the wheels in motion. Everyone who signed up is pretty excited but looks like we need some House Rules, so here we are:

• Each referral has to be an individual subscriber, that is, if two of you referred a third person, the person who made the referral first bags it provided the person referred signs up. We will count each person just once in the YouMint community.
• You get paid when the friend you referred signs up, and not just for referring
• If messages dont reach you (coz your phone is off/not working/off coverage area), sorry mate, you wont get paid for that message

When do you get paid?: You need to stay on our service for the first 30 days to get paid. And you need to have a minimum of Rs 300 in your account for us to cut you a cheque. Your account will be assessed at the end of each calendar month and based on your balance we will send you payments.
